The highly anticipated promotional event for Apple TV+’s breakout hit dystopian series *Silo* took place at London’s BFI Southbank on October 16, 2024, drawing crowds of diehard fans and dozens of global entertainment outlets to see the show’s core cast in person. Leading lady Rebecca Ferguson, who plays the tough, quick-witted engineer-turned-silo leader Juliette Nichols, arrived in a sharp tailored cream suit paired with neutral block heels, stopping to sign autographs and take selfies with waiting fans before posing for official photos. Ferguson, who also serves as an executive producer on the series, shared during the post-photocall press Q&A that the second season will unpack far more of the silo’s hidden histories and the shocking truth about the supposedly toxic outside world that residents have been warned against for centuries.
New cast addition Jessica Henwick, beloved for her roles in *The Matrix Resurrections*, *Game of Thrones* and *Iron Fist*, turned heads in a floor-length black sequined gown paired with chunky leather ankle boots, blending glamour and edge perfectly for the event. Henwick will portray Kaelin, a sharp, secretive tech specialist with long-held ties to the silo’s restricted upper levels, and revealed that she binge-watched the entire first season of *Silo* in 48 hours after receiving her audition offer, and jumped at the chance to join the critically acclaimed universe.
Award-winning musician and actor Common rounded out the trio, returning to his role as Robert Sims, the silo’s intimidating yet conflicted Judicial enforcer. Common wore a relaxed dark brown velvet blazer over a crisp white t-shirt and tailored black trousers, telling reporters that his character will face devastating moral crossroads in season 2 as his loyalty to the silo’s ruling class is shattered by revelations that upend every belief he has held his entire life.
Based on Hugh Howey’s best-selling post-apocalyptic book franchise of the same name, *Silo* follows 10,000 people living in a giant underground silo, where strict rules designed to keep them safe also breed rampant secrecy, paranoia and quiet rebellion. The first season earned universal acclaim upon its 2023 release, holding an 88% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and ranking as one of Apple TV+’s most watched original series of all time. Season 2 of *Silo* is set to premiere globally on November 8, 2024, with the first two episodes dropping on launch day followed by one new episode every Friday for the rest of the 10-episode season.

Oh my god I’ve been waiting for *Silo* season 2 for what feels like forever! Rebecca Ferguson as Juliette is easily one of my favorite TV characters of the last decade, and adding Jessica Henwick to the cast? That’s a literal dream team, I’m already counting down the days to November 8.
Common was such a surprise scene stealer in season 1, I’m so excited to see how his character’s arc unfolds now that Juliette is outside the silo. You can tell from the photocall photos how much chemistry the whole cast has off screen too, that always makes the show even better.
As a huge fan of Hugh Howey’s original *Silo* books, I’ve been so impressed with how faithful the show is to the source material while adding such interesting new layers to the characters. Jessica Henwick feels like the perfect fit for all the tech-focused plotlines they’ve been teasing for season 2, I know it’s going to blow the first season out of the water.
I love that Apple TV+ is putting so much promotion behind this show, it’s so underrated compared to other big dystopian franchises. The cast looked incredible at the photocall, I already have my watch party planned for the premiere next month!
