The “Choosin’ Charleston” date, scheduled for Saturday, October 12 at the Charleston Municipal Auditorium, comes as part of the extended leg of her sold-out “Excuse the Mess” headline tour, which has drawn rave reviews from critics and fans alike for her raw, authentic country sound and high-energy stage presence. Langley, who first rose to fame after posting covers and original tracks on social media in 2020, has quickly become one of the most talked-about new artists in the genre, with three consecutive top 20 hits on the Billboard Country Airplay chart and a recent opening slot on Koe Wetzel’s national arena tour. In a statement announcing the West Virginia date, Langley noted that she has long wanted to perform in the region, citing the deep connection between Appalachian culture and traditional country music as a key inspiration for her songwriting. “I’ve had so many fans from West Virginia reach out to me over the years telling me my songs got them through tough days, or that they drove hours to see me play in neighboring states,” Langley said. “Adding a Charleston stop was a no-brainer – I can’t wait to get on that stage and sing every word with them.” Tickets for the show will first be available via fan presale starting at 10 a.m. ET on August 14, with general public sales opening at 10 a.m. ET on August 16 through Ticketmaster and the Charleston Municipal Auditorium box office. VIP packages are also available, including early entry to the venue, a meet-and-greet and photo opportunity with Langley, exclusive limited-edition tour merchandise, and access to a pre-show acoustic performance of three deep-cut tracks. A representative for Live Nation, the promoter for the tour, said that early demand for the Charleston date has already outpaced expectations, with more than 12,000 fans signing up for the presale code in the first 24 hours after the show was announced. The 3,400-seat venue is expected to sell out within hours of general sales opening. Langley’s setlist for the fall tour will include all of her fan-favorite hits, including “Country Boy’s Dream Girl,” “That’s Why We Fight,” and her latest single “You Look Like You Love Me,” as well as several unreleased tracks from her upcoming sophomore album, set to drop in early 2025.

OH MY GOODNESS I’ve been streaming Ella’s debut album on repeat for 6 months straight! I almost cried when I saw she’s finally coming to Charleston, I’m setting 10 alarms for the presale, there’s no way I’m missing this show. As someone who’s covered Ella’s rise from small-town bar shows to selling out theaters across the South, this Charleston stop is so well-deserved. She’s one of the few new country artists that stays true to the genre’s roots instead of chasing pop crossover clout, and the West Virginia crowd is exactly the audience that’ll appreciate that authenticity the most. — Jesse Tucker, country music content creator

I’ve been playing Ella’s tracks at my honky-tonk outside Charleston for two years, and every time one of her songs comes on the whole place sings along. We’re already planning a pre-show party at the bar for anyone heading to the concert, we’re gonna make sure her first stop in WV is one she never forgets. — Lori Bennett, local honky-tonk owner
