The LEGO Group has officially announced two brand-new sets inspired by Netflix’s global hit series *Wednesday*, marking the first time the brand has released an official mass-produced Wednesday Addams minifigure for mainstream retail. The highly anticipated drop comes after months of fan speculation and leaks, with both sets designed to cater to casual fans, teen collectors, and long-time LEGO enthusiasts alike.
The first set, listed as product number 76780 and titled "Wednesday and Enid’s Dorm Room", includes 345 pieces and is recommended for builders aged 8 and up. Retailing at $39.99 USD, the set recreates the iconic shared bedroom of Wednesday Addams and her roommate Enid Sinclair at Nevermore Academy, with a split design that highlights the characters’ clashing aesthetics: Enid’s half of the room features bright neon decor, plush wolf toys, rainbow bedding, and printed concert posters, while Wednesday’s side is decorated entirely in black and white, with a tiny working miniature guillotine, a pet spider figurine, a vintage typewriter, and a shelf of spooky novels. The set comes with three minifigures and accessories: the first official Wednesday minifigure, complete with her signature braided pigtails, printed Nevermore Academy uniform, dual-sided face print with her iconic deadpan expression and a subtle smirk, plus a tiny cello accessory; an Enid Sinclair minifigure with pastel hair highlights and colorful casual wear; and a buildable version of Thing, the disembodied Addams Family hand, with posable fingers.
The second, larger set, product number 76781 "Nevermore Academy Entrance", includes 1,027 pieces and is targeted at builders aged 12 and up, retailing for $99.99 USD. It recreates the grand gothic gates of Nevermore Academy, plus a small section of the school’s courtyard, a statue of the school’s founder, and a hidden alcove with secret notes referencing plot points from the show’s first season. Alongside the Wednesday minifigure, this set includes three additional exclusive minifigures: Morticia Addams, Gomez Addams, and Principal Larissa Weems, all with highly detailed face prints and character-specific accessories.
Both sets are scheduled to launch globally online and in LEGO retail stores on September 1, 2024, with pre-orders opening for LEGO VIP members on August 15, 2024. LEGO design lead Sarah Hamilton shared in a press statement that the team worked closely with Netflix and *Wednesday* showrunners to include dozens of hidden Easter eggs for long-time Addams Family fans, including tiny references to the 1991 *The Addams Family* live-action film scattered across both sets. The release is part of LEGO’s ongoing push to create licensed sets targeted at teen and young adult collectors, alongside existing lines tied to popular franchises like Stranger Things and Harry Potter.

As a huge Wednesday fan and long-time LEGO collector, I’ve been waiting for this announcement for over a year! The minifigure’s details are perfect — that little deadpan expression and the tiny cello accessory have already convinced me to grab both sets on launch day. I’m especially obsessed with how they split the dorm room set to show Wednesday’s all-black side and Enid’s neon rainbow side, it’s such a fun, accurate touch.
I make custom Addams Family minifigures as a side hobby, and I have to say LEGO’s official Wednesday figure blows all my past attempts out of the water. The dual-sided face print, the detailed braid pieces, and even the printed collar on her uniform are so much higher quality than any custom parts I’ve ever been able to source. I can’t wait to modify this figure to make custom 90s Addams Family versions too!
I don’t even collect LEGO normally, but I’m absolutely buying the smaller dorm set just for the Wednesday minifigure and the little Thing piece. My 13-year-old sister is obsessed with the show, and this is going to be the perfect birthday gift for her this year. I love that LEGO is making sets for more recent, popular shows that teens and young adults love, not just content targeted at little kids.
I hope this drop means we’ll get more Addams Family LEGO sets down the line! A full-scale Addams Family mansion set to go with these Wednesday figures would be an instant pre-order for me. The little nods to the original 90s movies in these sets are such a nice touch for long-time fans of the franchise, not just people who only watched the Netflix series.
