After months of speculation from the global Fortnite community, the first wave of verified leaks for Chapter 7 Season 4 has dropped via trusted insider accounts including HYPEX, ShiinaBR, and Fortnite Leaks, giving fans their first clear look at the upcoming season’s theme, exclusive content, and official launch timeline.
Per confirmed scheduling data pulled from Epic Games’ public server backend, Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 is set to conclude on August 8, 2025, with Chapter 7 Season 4 rollout beginning at 2 AM ET on August 9, 2025, for all platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile. Pre-load for the update will go live 48 hours prior to launch on August 7, with file sizes estimated to range between 12GB and 19GB depending on platform, with PC users facing the largest download due to high-resolution texture packs optimized for the new map areas.
The leaked season, internally codenamed “Chrono Collapse”, centers on a time-travel narrative that will introduce three new major points of interest to the Chapter 7 map: a neon-drenched Neo-Tokyo-inspired commercial district, an abandoned 1950s nuclear testing site, and a floating time laboratory run by a new original villain, The Chronomancer. Leaked battle pass content reveals 12 unlockable skins, including three highly anticipated crossover skins: Marty McFly and Doc Brown from the Back to the Future franchise, and a new Super Saiyan Blue Goku variant as part of Epic’s ongoing partnership with Dragon Ball Super. Additional premium skins will be available in the in-game item shop throughout the season, including rumored collabs with Marvel’s Loki and singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo.
Gameplay leaks also reveal major overhauls to both core battle royale and Zero Build modes. A new time-manipulation item set, including the Rewind Grenade that resets a small area to its state 10 seconds prior, and the Time Shift Boots that let players slow their own fall speed for 15 seconds, will be added to the ground loot pool. Zero Build mode will also receive a new ranked tier above Unreal, dubbed “Champion of Time”, with exclusive cosmetic rewards for players who finish the season in the top 0.1% of the global leaderboard. A mid-season live event, scheduled for mid-September 2025, is also teased to feature a global player co-op mission to prevent the entire map from being erased by cross-timeline rifts.
Epic Games has not yet officially confirmed any of the leaked content, but industry analysts note that the same insider accounts have accurately revealed 92% of Fortnite season content over the past three years, making the leaks highly credible. Official reveal trailers for Chapter 7 Season 4 are expected to drop on August 2, 2025, across Epic’s social media channels.

As a massive Back to the Future fan, I’ve been begging Epic for a Marty McFly skin for years! If these leaks are real, I’m buying the battle pass the second the season drops, no questions asked. I’m also really curious to see how the time manipulation items work in Zero Build mode, I just hope they don’t make the meta too unbalanced for casual players like me.
I’m so glad they’re finally adding a new urban POI, the current Chapter 7 map has felt way too rural and spread out for my taste. The only thing I’m worried about is the update size – my old PS4 barely has 20GB of free storage left as it is, I really hope Epic optimizes the download better than they did for last season’s messy launch.
I always take leaks with a grain of salt, but HYPEX and Shiina have such a good track record that I’m already planning my gaming schedule around the August 9 launch. Fingers crossed the mid-season live event is as good as the Chapter 7 Season 1 meteor event, that’s still the best in-game event they’ve ever pulled off in my opinion.
This is going to be my first ever Fortnite season! I started playing last month and have been grinding daily challenges to save up enough V-Bucks for the battle pass, so I’m super excited that there are Dragon Ball skins included. Dragon Ball is my favorite anime of all time, I’d have been so mad if I missed those skins.
